Did you know that Erno Rubik invented this puzzle back in 1974? But it really took off when Ideal Toy Corp. got the license to sell it in 1980. By 2009, they had sold 350 million cubes! Even though the toy reached its biggest popularity in the 1980's, "speedcubers" still have competitions worldwide.
