Do know why it's called a "steal your face"? Originally, there was no skull in the picture—the logo was simply a circle divided with a lightning bolt. The skull was added on a few days later, as a way to symbolize the “Grateful Dead.” After the logo appeared on the cover of the album Steal your Face, it has been known as the Steal your Face symbol ever since. The expression comes from the song about Mickey Harts's father after he stole a bunch of money from the band, saying he'd “steal your face right off your head”.
