Wind Up Teeth:
The classic toys from the 50's is still delighting kids today: it's chattering wind up teeth! Our chatter teeth are one and a half inches by one and a quarter inches, and are one inch tall. Wind these teeth up and watch them run around on their little pink feet.
Did you know that this toy made its debut in 1950 as "Yakity-Yak Talking Teeth". They were invented by Eddie Goldfarb. he took the idea to toy man Marvin Glass, who showed it to his buddy, Irving Fishlove, of Chicago’s famed novelty concern, H. Fishlove & Co.
One of the original Yakity-Yaks, which were marketed back then for less than a dollar, recently sold for more than $200 on eBay. And that price was without the original box! But you can get one of these fun novelties here at Backward Glances for only $2.
You can read more on the history of the famous teeth here.
